Why 'Skipjack'?
The name Skipjack is a nod to founder Dan Cockerline’s passion for classic working boats, vessels known for their durability, craftsmanship, and ability to stand the test of time. A skipjack is a traditional oyster fishing boat still in use in the Chesapeake Bay, built to work hard and last for generations.
Rooted in this maritime tradition, Skipjack Building brings those same values to every home we renovate or build in Vermont: integrity, resilience, and thoughtful design.
Whether restoring an existing structure or building from the ground up, we are committed to creating homes that are as enduring as they are beautiful.
